As an entrepreneur in the international digital media sector, Denzyl has worked for Apple as consultant in music and digital media since 2001, having a hand in landmark developments such as iTunes launch in 2003. In 2004 he came to London to launch iTunes outside the US and has remained here ever since. iTunes is now in 119 countries. He is also one of the architects of the iTunes festival, which ran for ten years from 2007-2017.
Denzyl was the founder and CEO of AWAL (Artists Without A Label) in 1997 which is a pure-play digital music label representing over 5,000 artists, including Radiohead and Arctic Monkeys. This led to Buzzdeck, the music analytics company that he and his partners spun out of AWAL as it was acquired by Kobalt Music. Denzyl has worked with global brands from Diesel, Coca-Cola to Burberry, and personalities from Oprah Winfrey to Lady Gaga. In 2016 he co-founded Platoon, an incubator for new musical artists.
